Übersicht |
Throughout the ages men of flair, faculty and outstanding courage have contributed to England's glorious heritage. Others, like the snivelling worm Edmund, Duke of Edinburgh (alias The Black Adder), the bitter and twisted son of a medieval king, have emerged from the dust of dodgy documents to claim their wrongful position in history.
Episodes:
1. The Foretelling
Arriving late for the Battle of Bosworth Field, Edmund Plantagenet, the Duke of Edinburgh, mistakenly beheads his uncle, King Richard III. With his father now King, the weasley Prince re-christens himself 'The Black Adder'...
2. The Queen of Spain's Beard
In need of more land and alliances across Europe, the King arranges a speedy marriage between the Spanish Infanta, Maria, and Edmund. However, whilst she appears besotted with her betrothed, the Duke of Edinburgh is horrified and resolves to get out of the ceremony any way he can.
3. The Archbishop
When the King's top assassin 'accidentally' kills the Archbishop of Canterbury, Edmund finds himself appointed to the newly vacated role. He quickly learns where his best allegiances lie...
4. Born to Be King
Having left Harry as ruling Prince Regent, King Richard is away killing Turks. Edmund is instructed to arrange entertainment for the upcoming feast of St Leonard's Day, and in the process believes he has found letters pertaining to his brother's legitimacy...
5. Witchsmeller Pursuivant
A witchfinder is in the district around the castle after a spate of plague infections. Edmund is identified as the head witch, and immediately placed on trial...
6. The Black Seal
It is St. Juniper's Day and the King strips Edmund of his title and duties in Edinburgh; fleeing the castle in rage, The Black Adder sets about creating the most fearsome band of Knights ever known in order to take the throne and rule the Kingdom. |
